Enroll by March to be eligible for Summer training.
Monthly drill is usually held the first weekend of each month from September through June. However, the schedule can change to meet training needs and to serve the community. Each month a Plan of the Month (POM) is distributed. The POM provides a detailed schedule for each drill, specifies the uniform of the day, and provides other important information.
Sea Cadets are authorized by the Secretary of the Navy to wear Navy enlisted uniforms appropriately marked with the NSCC/NLCC insignia. The unit issues each cadet the basic uniform components for use while enrolled in the program. Additional items, notably shoes and boots, are purchased by Sea Cadet families.
The annual enrollment fee is currently $120. A deposit of $75 is collected to guarantee the return of issued uniforms.
Trainings primarily occur during the summer and school breaks. Cadets must first complete recruit training at one of several sites. Cadets are then eligible for advanced trainings. In addition to training aboard naval vessels, Sea Cadets may attend advanced training evolutions such as aviation, Seabee indoctrination, SEAL challenge, military law enforcement, and leadership.
Navy League Cadets may participate in one-week advanced training in subjects such as leadership, seamanship and boating safety.
Schedule is tentative and subject to change.
